Funeral services for Robert Edward “Eddie” Douglas, of Brookhaven, are Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church with burial at church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and continuing Thursday, May 17, 2018, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Mr. Douglas, 60, died Sunday, May 13, 2018. He was born Sept. 18, 1957, to James Robert Douglas and Alberta Moak Douglas. He was a graduate of Brookhaven High School and Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He retired from Chevron after working over 30 years in the Gulf of Mexico, Nigeria, Angola, and Kazakhstan. He is remembered lovingly by his family as having been good at everything, except for telling jokes. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, boating and hunting. He could fix anything, won softball tournaments and thoroughly enjoyed singing bass in gospel quartets.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Regina Castilaw Douglas; children, Benjamen Douglas, Alyson Douglas and her husband Horace Carl Pouncey; grandchildren, Jackson Taylor Hinckle, Brennan Jacob Hinckle, Roman Eli Hinckle, and Jacob Carl Pouncey; brothers, Phillip Douglas, Jerry Douglas, and his wife Tracey; and a host of brothers and sisters-in-law, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
