A memorial service for Kenneth Wayne Dixon, of McCall Creek, will be Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Riverwood Family Funeral Service in Brookhaven with a private family burial at Wallace-Lee Cemetery in Franklin County.

Mr. Dixon, 80, died Aug. 31, 2018, at his residence. He was born Dec. 15, 1937, to Mayburn Dixon and Ora Lee Breland Dixon. Mr. Dixon was a veteran and served as a Navy Seal. He was also retired as a consultant in the oil field. He loved working and fixing anything with a small engine.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and stepson, Scottie Cothren.

Survivors are his daughters, Carmen Wallace, Janet Dixon and Katheryn Fitch; stepson, Jamie Cothren; brothers, C.R. Dixon, Ray Dixon and Demyrl Dixon; sister, Retha Helton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
