Services for Cowan Bourne Langston, of Columbia, were 10 a.m.Wednesday, Aug. 31 at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello with burialin Society Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Langston, 79, died Aug. 28, 2005, at Central MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. He was born on July 5, 1926, to JessieJoseph Langston and Eula Mae Bourne Langston.

He was a a retired mail carrier and supervisor for the U.S.Mail. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a member ofNorthside Baptist Church in Clinton.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother, Joe C.Langston.

Survivors are his wife, Kathryn Langston, of Columbia; his sons,Tommy Langston, of Clinton, and Randy Langston, of Pensacola, Fla.;his sister, Parnell Hathorn, of Monticello; his brothers, GlenLangston, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Charles Langston, of Thibodaux,La.; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
