Services for William Calvin Monroe “Bill” Baggett Jr., ofWinder, Ga., are 1 pm Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, at the First UnitedMethodist Church in Meadville, with burial in Midway Cemetery,Meadville.

Visitation is Wednesday from noon until the time of the serviceat the church.

Mr. Baggett was born Dec. 2, 1927, in Foxworth, passed away onAug. 3, 2007, at his home.

He was a retired minister with the Methodist church and hadserved as a chaplain in the Army. He attended Mississippi SouthernCollege, Asbury College, and graduated from Emory University with adegree in Theology.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel Roberta WoodBaggett and William Calvin Monroe Baggett; his sisters, LoisWinnefred Baggett, Virginia Clair Baggett Wactor, Aubrey FayeBaggett and Ethel Roberta Baggett Wynn; and his brother, JohnAustin Baggett.

Survivors are his wife, Peggy; his children and their spouses,Deborah and Bob Jarvis, Cindy and Mike Riemann, and William CalvinMonroe (Sonny) III and Margaret Baggett, his stepchildren, MelisaSanders and Steven Sanders, his two sisters, Frances Zumbro andLavonia Harthcock; his nine grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren.
