John Wayne Bailey

Services for John Wayne Bailey of Hazlehurst are 2 p.m. Monday,Dec. 29, at Strong Hope Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 28, from 5-9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Bailey, 51, died Dec. 26, 2003, at Baptist Medical Center inJackson. He was born in Hazlehurst on Nov. 6, 1952, to Willie J.Bailey and Mattie Bailey.

He was a logger with Bailey Logging. He was a member of StrongHope Baptist Church.

Survivors are his parents; his wife, Judy Bailey; his son, JasonBailey; his daughter, Janna Whittington; his sister, Rita Runnels;and four grandchildren, all of Hazlehurst.

James Julius Havar

Services for James Julius Havard of Knoxville were 11 a.m.,Saturday, Dec. 27, at Spring Hill Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home in Meadville is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Havard, 90, died Dec. 25, 2003, at Franklin County Hospital.He was born in Franklin County on Jan. 19, 1913, to Cade Havard andAllie Ford Havard.

He was a logger and a farmer.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, three sistersand a brother.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Lou Davis Havard of Knoxville; hissons, Jessie Havard of Knoxville, and J.C. Havard and BillieHavard, both of Roxie; his sister, Allie Shell of Knoxville; sevengrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; fourstep-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pearl Kimble

Services for Pearl Kimble of Ocean Springs were Sunday, Dec. 21,2003, at Ocean Springs Chapel in Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home withburial in Crestlawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Kimble, 79, died Dec. 18, 2003, in Ocean Springs. She was aformer resident of Bogue Chitto and attended Bogue Chitto HighSchool.

She was a resident of the Ocean Springs community for 38 years.She worked at Gayfer’s in the Edgewater Mall for many years doingalterations and also at Stan’s Men’s Wear in Ocean Springs. She wasa member of the First Baptist Church in Ocean Springs.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Anon Joe Kimble; herparents, Odis and Ophelia Foster; and a brother, CharlesFoster.

Survivors are her two daughters, Patricia Ladnier and LindaFayard, both of Ocean Springs; two sons, Joe Kimble and RonnieKimble, both of Ocean Springs; Polly Davis of Houston, Texas; twobrothers, James Foster of Brookhaven and Odis Foster Jr. ofHouston, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
