Funeral services for James W. Halford, of Meadville, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Eddiceton Baptist Church, with burial in Middleton Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Franklin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church.

     Mr. Halford, 62, died Aug. 16, 2012, at Franklin County Memorial Hospital. He was born in Bude on Feb. 13, 1950, to Wesley and Helen Rollins Halford.

     He was retired from American Railcar in Bude. Mr. Halford coached summer ball for 32 years and served on the Sixtown Water Board for 34 years.

     Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Dorris J. Causey Halford; and son, Billy Glennis.

     Survivors are his daughter, Wanda Parker and husband, Chuck, of Natchez; sisters, Louise Combs and husband, Jerry, of Roxie, Maxine Buie and husband, Jimmy, of Meadville, Doris Foy and husband, John, of Roxie, Bonnie McGeever, of Roxie, and Polly Platt and husband, Ernie, of Roxie; sister-in-law, Betty Edwards, of Meadville; and faithful friend, Bo.
