Johnny M. Moak

Services for Johnny M. Moak, of Wesson, are 3:30 p.m. Saturday,March 28, at First United Pentecostal Church of Wesson with burialin Moak Cemetery on Caseyville Road. Community Funeral Services isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 4 until 9 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Moak, 55, died March 26, 2009, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lincoln County onSept. 24, 1953, to Howard V. Moak and Josie M. Moak.

He was a motorman in the oilfield. He was of Pentecostalfaith.

Preceding him in death was his father, Howard V. Moak.

Survivors are his mother, Josie M. Moak; his brothers, R.W.Moak, Howard Wayne Moak, Carroll Moak, Jimmy Moak and Ellis R.Moak; a sister, Rosemary Pickering; and a host of nieces, nephewsand other family members.

Lt. Col. James Lenard Quinn

Memorial services for Lt. Col. James Lenard Quinn, ofBrookhaven, are 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at St. Francis of AssisiCatholic Church in Brookhaven. Burial will be in the Catholiccemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lt. Col. Quinn, 86, died March 26, 2009, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center in Brookhaven. He was born in Lincoln County on Aug.11, 1922, to Luther Quinn and Alberta Mason Quinn.

He retired after 23 years of service in the U.S. Army. Lt. Col.Quinn was an excellent produce farmer, who shared generously withhis friends and neighbors. He was a member of St. Francis of AssisiCatholic Church. He was also a member of the Brookhaven ExchangeClub and Knights of Columbus. He was a former president of theelection commission.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a daughter, KarenQuinn Ollinger.

Survivors are his wife, Renee Quinn, of Brookhaven; a son, JamesL Quinn and wife, Martha Ann, of Tallahassee, Fla.; a daughter,Patricia Quinn Blackwell, of Brookhaven; a sister, Bernice Wilsonand husband, Jerry, of Brookhaven; his two grandchildren, CainBlackwell and wife, Abby, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and AlisonQuinn, of Tallahassee.
