Services for Bessie Mae Lee of Monticello are 11 a.m., today atArm Baptist Church in Silver Creek with burial in the churchcemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 9-11 a.m., at the church.

Mrs. Lee, 90, died Dec. 23, 2002, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter. She was born on Aug. 2, 1912, to Hal Hamilton and EllaKnight Stuart.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Arm Baptist Church. Shewas a native of Kemper County, and moved to Lawrence County fromEast Carroll Parish, La., in 1965.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband,Albert Leslie Beck; her son, James Albert Beck; her second husband,Porter Shelby Lee; three sisters, Hazel Waddell, Maggie Jo Beck,and Ethel Waddell; and one brother, Ernest Stuart.

Survivors are her daughters, Joy Thurman of Monticello, HelenBrzozowske of Guthrie, Okla., and Sara Rushing of Transylvania,La.; her sons, Prentiss Lee of Monticello, and William H. “Bill”Beck of Poplar, Mont.; her sisters, Helen White and Margie Wise ofSondheimer, La., and Louise Blevins of Bogalusa, La.; her brothers,Johnny Stuart of Transylvania, Arthur Stuart of Oak Grove, La.; and13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and threegreat-great-grandchildren.
