Services for Rayford Leggett of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Sunday,June 6, at Community Funeral Services Chapel with burial at NewHope Church of Christ.

Visitation is Saturday from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Leggett, 73, died June 2, 2004, at Mississippi BaptistHospital. He was born in Lincoln County on July 29, 1930, to VanLeggett and Clara Johnson.

He was a retired oil field petroleum engineer.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Tommy Leggett of Brookhaven; hisdaughter, Diane Leggett of Brookhaven; his sons Sonny Leggett ofAnaheim, Calif., Raymond Leggett of Norwalk, Calif., Robert Leggettof Oregon, and Michael Leggett of Brookhaven; his sisters, RuthMyers and Emma Jane Hoggett, both of Brookhaven, Nell Miller ofFranklin, Calif., Mary Lou Avvil of Clinton, Ark., Shirley Harrisof Denham Springs, La.; his brother, Frank Leggett of Brookhaven;nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
