Funeral services for Birdie Gates Allen, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Macedonia M.B. Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

     Visitation is Friday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

     Mrs. Allen, 75, died Aug. 11, 2012, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was born in Rankin County on Dec. 4, 1936.
