Houston “Jr.” McCaffery, 75, died Aug. 31,2011, at Haven Hall Nursing Home. He was born on Oct. 26, 1935, toBennie and Lula Wallace McCaffery.

    No formal services are being held. Riverwood Family Funeral Serviceis in charge of arrangements.

    He was a retired member of Local 1098 in construction work. He wasa member of Blood River Church of God in Springfield, La.

    Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, R.E.McCaffery, Homer McCaffery, “Snow” Robert McCaffery, “Ham” RussellMcCaffery and Jewell McCaffery; and his sisters, Mary White andMildred Leggett.

    Survivors are his sons, Greg McCaffery, of Brookhaven, and KennethAllen McCaffery, of Springfield, La.; his daughter, Kathy Crain, ofSpringfield; his sister, Geraldine McCaffery, of Bogue Chitto; fourgrandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces andnephews.
