Services for Lavada Walker Jones, of Crystal Springs, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, March 16, at First Baptist Church, with burial in CrystalSprings Cemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Services in CrystalSprings is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Tuesday at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of theservices.

Mrs. Jones, 90, died March 13, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson.

She was a native of Brookhaven. She owned and operated Town andCountry Beauty Salon for 35 years. She was a member of FirstBaptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the5-year-old class.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Hansel W. Jones; her son,Hiram James Jones; her brothers, Roy Walker, Bert Walker, OliverWalker and Walter Walker; and her sisters, Beatrice Smith and LeonaSmith.

Survivors are her sons, Hansel Anthony Jones and wife, Janet, ofBrandon, and Richard Arlen Jones, of Crystal Springs; her daughter,Barbara Sue Jones, of Crystal Springs; her sisters, Audrey NellHarrell, of Brookhaven, and Arcola Taylor, of Crystal Springs; herdaughter-in-law, Bettye Jones, of Boca Raton, Fla.; and her sevengrandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
