Services for John De’Laney Chatman of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.Saturday, June 30, at St. Mark M.B. Church with burial in HopewellChurch Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, June 29, from noon to 5 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary with a family hour Friday, June 29, from 7-8 p.m. at St.Mark M.B. Church.

Mr. Chatman, 40, died Friday, June 22, 2001, in McGehee, Ark. Hewas born in Brookhaven on March 28, 1961, to Charlie James andGlenda Chatman of Brookhaven.

He was employed at McLane Southern Grocery Distribution for 22years. He was a member of St. Mark M.B. Church. He was a 1979graduate of Brookhaven High School.

Survivors are his parents; wife, Lisa Denise Chatman ofBrookhaven; son, John De’Laney Chatman Jr. of Byram; stepson,Alzabeare Hanner of Brookhaven; stepdaughter, Jennell Reed ofBrookhaven; brothers, Charlie Chatman and Danny Chatman ofBrookhaven, Victor Chatman of Jackson, William Chatman ofIndianapolis, Ind., and Maurice Smith of Memphis; sisters, SheliaWitherspoon, Cynthia Cameron, Deborah Payton and LaTonya Smith ofBrookhaven, Gena Waterman of Florida and Nicole Demyers ofMichigan; and a godchild, Danny Chatman Jr.
