Funeral services for Colby Duane Porter, ofWesson, are 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Zion Hill BaptistChurch in Wesson, with burial in the church cemetery. StringerFamily Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is in charge of arrangements.

    Visitation is Monday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

    Colby, 14, died Nov. 26, 2011, at The University of MississippiMedical Center in Jackson as a result of an ATV accident. He wasborn in Jackson on May 9, 1997.

    He was a ninth-grade student at Wesson Attendance Center where hewas active in all sports activities. He was a member of Zion HillBaptist Church and an active member of Wesson Baptist StudentMinistry.

    Survivors are his parents, Steven Duane Porter and Gerri Lynn HallPorter, of Wesson; maternal grandparents, Jerry Ray and Donis Hall;paternal grandparents, Jerry and Norma Porter; maternalgreat-grandmother, Inez Walker Jackson; aunt, Deana Hall, all ofWesson; uncle and aunt, Jeff and Shannan Porter, of Mobile, Ala.;cousins, Rayanna Granger, of Wesson, and Logan, Jordan and AbbyPorter, of Mobile, Ala; and girlfriend, Britney Lynn Moore.

    Pallbearers are Jerry Hood, Ken McQuage, Johnny Smith, FreddieNewman, Joey Chassion and Terry Munn.
