James O. Cole

Graveside services for James O. Cole, of McCall Creek, are 2p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Concord Baptist Church Cemetery inFranklin County. Catchings Funeral Home in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Cole, 88, died Oct. 20, 2008, at McComb Nursing andRehabilitation Center. He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 8,1920, to Gus Charles Cole and Beulah Nettles Cole.

He was a retired aircraft mechanic. He was a U.S. Army veteranserving with the Army Air Corp. during World War II. He was amember of the Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, JaniceGriffin; a brother, Hollis Cole; and a sister, Audrey MaeAdair.

Survivors are his wife, Elouise Lambert Cole, of McCall Creek;his sons, Steve Davis, of Jackson, and Robert Davis, of Berry Town;his daughters, Cathy Sims, of Baton Rouge, La., and Deborah Milton,of McCall Creek; his four grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
