Services for Willie Mae Mercier of McComb are 2 p.m. Monday,Oct. 15, at Catchings Funeral Home with burial in Moak’s CreekCemetery.

Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 14, from 5-9 p.m. and Monday, Oct.15, from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Mrs. Mercier, 63, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at MississippiBaptist Medical Center in Jackson following a short illness. Shewas born in Walthall County on April 18, 1938, to Ruby M. Chisholmand the late Frank Crawford Mercier Sr.

She was a retired clerk who worked for many years at Skinney’sRestaurant and the Fernwood Country Club and for three years forG.T. Vaccarella. She was a member of Bogue Chitto’s Carter’s CreekBaptist Church.

Survivors are her mother; stepfather, Charlie Chisolm of McComb;sons and daughter-in-law, Jesse Lynn Brumfield Jr. of Charleston,S.C., William and Mary Lee Brumfield of McComb and Darrell Byrd ofMcComb; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Frances and Roy Lynn Morganof Ruth; brothers, Frank C. Mercier Jr. of Brookhaven, SedgieMercier of Bogue Chitto, Ralph Mercier of Pricedale and James L.Mercier of Brookhaven; sisters, Maudie Fortenberry and RosalieWilliams of Summit; four grandchildren; and numerous otherrelatives and friends.
