Services for Kelly Jackson Bridges, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Friday, Feb. 9, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Bridges, 65, died Feb. 7, 2007, at his residence. He wasborn on Oct. 17, 1941, to Kelly Bridges and Nellie Mae Dorman.

He was retired from the Louisiana Department of Education. Hewas a member of the Presbyterian faith.

His father preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother, Nellie Mae Dorman; his wife, DorothyNan Rhodes Bridges, of Brookhaven; his sons, Jason Kelly Bridges,of Brookhaven, and Jeremy Jackson Bridges, of Baker, La.; hisdaughter, Jennifer Nan Bridges, of Baker; his brothers, GroverBridges and Paul Bridges; and his sister, Emma Jane Tidwell.

Anita Joyce Freeman Dube

Services for Anita Joyce Freeman Dube, of Wesson, were 10 a.m.Thursday, Feb. 8, at Brookhaven Funeral Home, Jackson Street, withburial in Wesson Cemetery.

Mrs. Dube, 74, died Feb. 6, 2007, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born in Wesson on Feb. 10,1932, to Lonnie Freeman and Iris Cannon Freeman.

She was a retired state employee. She was a member of WessonBaptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother, JohnRamsey Freeman.

Survivors are her husband, R.G. Dube, of Wesson; her sons,Richard Dube and Keith Dube, both of Wesson; her daughter, DebraLynn Sharp, of Vicksburg; her brother, Dr. Robert Freeman, ofPennsylvania; and her grandchildren, Eric Robinson, Mark Robinsonand Holly Robinson.

Services for Lonnie Mae Johnson, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Saturday, Feb. 10, at Della Green M.B. Church in Brookhaven withburial in Friendship M.B. Church Cemetery in Brookhaven. R. E.Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Johnson, 79, died Feb. 4, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn on March 15, 1927, to Jim Maxie and Prescilla Maxie.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Della Green M.B.Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EddieJohnson Sr.; her son, Eddie Roy Johnson Sr.; her sisters, GertrudeMaxie, Georgia Maxie and Annie Mae Hinton.

Survivors are her son, Quinn C. Johnson, of Brookhaven; herdaughters, Lorraine Johnson, of Brookhaven, and Cathryn Davis andBeverly Johnson, both of Memphis, Tenn.; her brother, James Magee,of Hattiesburg; her sisters, Edna Ruth Lindsey, of Hattiesburg, andMary Hattie Loften, of Pascagoula; her nine grandchildren and 11great-grandchildren.

Services for Louis Jones Sr., of Natchez, formerly ofBrookhaven, are 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at at New Jerusalem M.B.Church in Brookhaven with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery inBrookhaven. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 6 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Jones, 87, died Feb. 4, 2007, at Natchez Community MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on April 6, 1919, to WalterJones and Narcissie Jones.

He was a graduate of Alexander High School. He was retired fromDixie Wholesale in Brookhaven. He was the first black to work atthe Black and White Store, that later became Shainberg’s. He alsoheld a position at State Bank. He was a U.S. Army veteran of WorldWar II. He was a member of New Jerusalem M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Mary LouiseJones; his daughter, Gwendolyn La’Faye Jones; his sister, WillieMae Pickett; and his brothers, Clyde Jones, Cullen Jones and Samuel”C.S.” Jones.

Survivors are his son, Louis “Butch” Jones Jr. and wife Linda,of Jackson; his daughter, Cassandra Shawn Wells, of Jackson; hisgranddaughters, Chloé Elise Jones, of Jackson, Crystal ShawnetteThomas and husband James Sr., of McCall Creek, and Marlo NicoleWells, of Jackson; his grandsons, Terrance Jones and wife Jeneen,of St. Louis, Mo., Jeremy Jones, of Columbus, Ohio, Louis AndreBates, of McComb, Antonio Jones and wife Pamela, of Jackson, andCarlos Jones and wife Diane, of Jackson; his sevengreat-grandchildren and four nephews; his special friend, DixieLewis, and a host of other friends.
