Services for Raymond Edwin “Eddie” Beach, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Monday, April 2, at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Beach, 71, died March 31, 2007, at St. Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital.

He was a native of Hazlehurst and a graduate of Copiah-LincolnCommunity College where in 2005 he was inducted into the SportsHall of Fame.

He was a retired brick mason and cattle farmer. He was an activemember of Macedonia Baptist Church where he served with a lovingheart. In addition, he was a long-time member of the MississippiCattlemen’s Association and Brookhaven Exchange Club.

Mr. Beach was an avid sports fan who attended and supported allLincoln County athletics and a member of the Copiah-LincolnCommunity College Foundation “Out to Lunch” Bunch.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Sam and Inez Beach; hisson, Randy Beach; and his brothers, Revis Beach, Morrell Beach, andWallace Beach.

Survivors are his wife, Virgie Britt Beach; his grandchildren,Heath and Kasey Beach, of Wiggins; his daughter-in-law, NellieBeach, also of Wiggins; his brothers, Jimmie Beach, of Vicksburg,and Ralph Beach, of Hazlehurst; his sisters, Cloteal Polk, ofHattiesburg, Bonnie Hoy and Reona Varnado, both of Baton Rouge,La., Marie Hulsey, of Madison, Elaine McCarty, of Albuquerque,N.M., and Nancy Shell, of Brookhaven; and numerous loving niecesand nephews and wonderful friends.
