Services for Clara Bell Brooks of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, Nov. 15, at Second Baptist Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon-6 p.m., with family hour from 6-7p.m., at Williams Mortuary.

Ms. Brooks, 70, died Nov. 12, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born in Lincoln County on March 17, 1933, toColumbus Brooks and Mary Brooks.

She was retired, and was a member of Second Baptist Church,where she served on the Mothers Board.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four sisters, RanaBrooks, Celestine Brooks, Sallie Brooks and Ruby Byrd; and herbrothers, Howard Thomas, Joseph Brooks, Jessie James Brooks andJewel Keys.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Jessie Ann Womackand Ray, Daisy Thomas and Larry, Tonya Brooks and Mary Brooks, allof Brookhaven; her sons and daughters-in-law, Willie D. Brooks andAnnie Bell, Thomas Coleman, Marzell Brooks and Undrea, and DarienBrooks and Vanessa, all of Brookhaven; her sister, Arma Johnson ofChicago, Ill., 20 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and manynieces, nephews and other relatives.

Jeffery Thomas Jones

Services for Jeffery Thomas Jones of Brookhaven were 10 a.m.,Friday, Nov. 14, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel. Services wereconducted by Bro. Willie Welch and Bro. Paul Roberts.

Mr. Jones, 40, died Nov. 12, 2003, at his residence. He was bornin Brookhaven on Jan. 31, 1963, to Dr. Robert Earl Jones and OliveWatts Jones of Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.Luther V. Jones, and Mr. and Mrs. Burton Watts.

Survivors are his parents; his brothers and sister-in-law,Robert B. Jones and Lisa of Baton Rouge, La., and Timothy M. Jonesand Oliver A. Jones, both of Brookhaven; numerous aunts, uncles andcousins; and his long-time companion, Terry R. Moody ofBrookhaven.

Memorials may be made to Brookhaven Animal Rescue League.

Almira Levy

Services for Almira Levy of Memphis, Tenn., are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Nov. 15, at Kynett Pilgrim United Methodist Church withburial in Carver Heights Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon-5 p.m., at Tyler FuneralHome.

Ms. Levy, 85, died Nov. 11, 2003, at Regional Medical Center inMemphis, Tenn. She was born in Brookhaven on June 23, 1918, toGerman Levy Sr. and Mary A. Richardson Levy.

She was a former educator and health care worker. She served asan elder in the Church of Christ.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Ruby LevyGray; a brother, Joseph Levy; and a nephew, Hearl C. Gray Jr.

Survivors are her sister, Audrey N. Levy Berry of Hattiesburg;and her brother, German Levy of Brookhaven.

William Delton “Bill” Smith

Services for William Delton “Bill” Smith of Wesson were 11 a.m.,Friday, Nov. 14, at Shiloh Baptist Church with burial in the churchcemetery. Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Smith, 37, died Nov. 12, 2003, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Brookhaven on May 12, 1966, to Tommy FleetSmith and Johnnie Marie Hutcherson.

He was a truck driver and a Navy veteran. He was a member ofShiloh Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his son, Delton Smith of Seminary; his sister,Lisa Stevenson of Imboden, Ark.; and his brother, Fleet Smith ofWesson.
