Services for Edgar “Jap” Clark Jr. of Brookhaven are 2 p.m.,Saturday, Sept. 1, at Center St. Church of Christ with burial inRosehill Church Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. with family hourfrom 6-7 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mr. Clark, 49, died Aug. 27, 2001, at his residence. He was bornin Lincoln County on Oct. 25, 1951, to Edgar Clark Sr. and InezClark.

He was retired. He was a member of Center St. Church ofChrist.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Inez Clark; and hisbrother, Billy Clark.

Survivors are his father, Edgar Clark Sr. of Brookhaven; hisstepmother, Ruby Clark of Brookhaven; his companion, Laura Blue ofBrookhaven; his sons, Kendrick Brent of Hazlehurst and JerreeseBlue of Antioch, Tenn.; his daughter, Laseako Ford of Meadville;his brothers, Edward Clark and Stacey Clark, both of New Orleans,and Bobby Ray Clark and Fred Clark, both of Brookhaven; hissisters, Hazel McCullom of Paris, Calif., and Rose Clark ofBrookhaven; and five grandchildren.
