Services for Edna Lucille East of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Gum Grove Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Services will be conducted by the Rev. JimmieSmith and the Rev. David Fortenberry.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m., at Brookhaven FuneralHome.

Mrs. East, 71, died Feb. 8, 2003, at St. Dominic’s Hospital inJackson. She was born in Lincoln County on May 18, 1931, to WiseMartin and Ada Oliver Martin.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Gum Grove BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert H.East; a brother, Benny Martin; and two sisters, Geneva Case andGladys Stewart.

Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Andy and ReginaEast, and David and Tammy East, all of Brookhaven; her daughter andson-in-law, Beverley and Mitchell Smith of Brookhaven; herbrothers, Wesley Martin of Sulfer, La., and Charles Martin ofBrookhaven; her sisters, Ethel Steward of Brookhaven, PaulineAllred of Bogue Chitto, and Oranell Jarman of Clarksville, Va.; and12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sam East, Blake East, Randy Martin, FredHerrmann, Terry Walker and Mitchell Smith.
