Graveside services for Louise Calcote Moore, of Gulfport are12:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens inGulfport. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home of Gulfport is in charge ofarrangements.

A procession will leave the funeral home at noon for theservices.

Mrs. Moorer, 84, died May 27, 2005, at North Mississippi MedicalCenter in Tupelo. She was born in Lucien on Sept. 22, 1920, to thelate William Henry Calcote and Ruth Ann Smith Calcote.

She was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi andreceived her masters degree from the University of North Carolina.She lived most of her life in Gulfport and was a teacher in theGulfport public school system for many years. Mrs. Moorer residedwith her daughter and son-in-law for the past 18 months in CalhounCity. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Gulfportand the First Baptist Church in Calhoun City.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, William B.Moorer Sr.; two brothers, Robert Earl Calcote and Richard Calcote;and a sister, Elsie White.

Survivors are her daughter, Jane Hardin and husband Charles ofCalhoun City; two sons, William B. Moorer Jr. of Gautier and JohnF. Moorer of Biloxi; four sisters, Flora Byrd of Guntersville,Ala., Nellie Denman of Smithdale, Dorothy Poole of Hernando andRuth Way of Georgetown, Texas; two brothers, David Calcote ofBrookhaven and James Calcote of Gulfport; four grandsons; and twogreat-grandsons.
