Services for Mary Inez Rutledge Sandifer, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. today, Oct. 17 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. BrookhavenFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Sandifer, 93, died Oct. 13, 2005, in Longview, Texas, whereshe had evacuated during Hurricane Rita. She was born to TomRutledge and Mary Rutledge.

She was a homemaker and lived most of her life in Brookhaven.She lived with her daughter in Groves, Texas, for the past threeyears. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, MarvinHarry Sandifer Sr.; her son, Tommy Sandifer; her brothers, T.J.Rutledge and Tracy Rutledge; and her sisters, Sarah White, ShirleyRitchie and Tessie North.

Survivors are her sons, Marvin Harry Sandifer Jr. and his wife,Betty Sandifer, of Brookhaven, and Richard Neal Sandifer and hiswife, DeeDee Sandifer, of Spring, Texas; her daughters, ShirleySandifer King and her husband, Kirby King, of Port Neches, andCarol Sandifer Ryder, of Groves; her daughter-in-law, HildaSandifer, of Brookhaven; her brother, Troy Rutledge and his wife,Francis; her 19 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 22great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews andfriends.

Pallbearers are her grandsons, Doyle Wayne King, Robert LeonKing, Jimmy Sandifer, Marvin Thomas Sandifer Sr., Marvin RusselSandifer; and her great-grandson, Michael Boudreaux.
