Graveside services for Ralph Daniel Green, of Brookhaven, wereApril 9, 2006, at Riverwood Memorial Park. Riverwood Family FuneralService was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Green, 91, died April 7, 2006, at his residence. He was bornin Two Egg, Fla., on Sept. 13, 1914, to Charley Cleveland Green andLeeper Francis Prestridge Green. After his father’s death, he movedto Dothan, Ala. In 1947, he moved to Brookhaven and began workingas an electrician. He became a member of the Exchange Club andinitiated the idea of putting out the flags.

He was the former owner and operator of Brookhaven Electric andlater, Brookhaven Automatic. He was a member of the Baptistfaith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, EdGreen.

Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Brenda Childress Green; hissister, Margie Burns, of Orange, Texas; his brother-in-law, NolonBowman; his niece, Cindy Bowman Townsend; his nephews, Greg Bowmanand Steve Bowman; his great-niece and great-nephew.
