Roseann Pennington

Services for Roseann Pennington of Monticello are 2 p.m. Sunday,Feb. 8, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with burial inEasthaven Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Saturday at 5 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Pennington, 101, died Feb. 6, 2004, at Lawrence CountyNursing Home. She was born on Oct. 24, 1902, to Robert Wilson andCivila Givens Wilson.

She was a homemaker. She was the oldest member of Pleasant GroveMethodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, AlibyPennington; a daughter, Audrey Redd; two sons, Wilson Penningtonand Decell Pennington; two sisters; six brothers; and agranddaughter, Healther Smith.

Survivors are her son, A.J. Pennington of Monticello; herbrother, Bennett Wilson of Prentiss; and sixgreat-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to hospice minstries or Pleasant GroveMethodist Church building fund.

Billy Easterwood

Services for Billy Easterwood of Brookhaven are 10 a.m. Monday,Feb. 9, at Abundant Life Church with burial in Louisville, Miss.Harrigill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Easterwood, 73, died Feb. 6, 2004, at Country Brook LivingCenter. He was born in Louisville, Miss., on April 12, 1930, toLionus Zinus Easterwood and Minnie Stokes Easterwood.

He was a retired self-employed accountant. He was a member ofAbundant Life Church. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran with servicein the Korean Conflict

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Black Easterwood of Brookhaven;his daughters, Kathy Linton of Kinewood, Texas, Robin Hosey ofHattiesburg, Travie Easterwood of Memphis, Lisa Jeanson of SugarLand, Texas, Stephanie Cazatas of Germantown, Tenn., Sherry Blackof Houston, Texas; his sons, Stan Easterwood of Fountain, Colo.,Michael Clatworthy of LaCrosse, Wisc., and Mark Black of Plano,Texas; his sister, Frances Easterwood of Indiana; his brother,Herschel Easterwood of Las Vegas, Nevada; and 16 grandchildren.
