MONTICELLO (AP) – A one-vehicle accident in Lawrence Countyclaimed the life of a Tylertown man Saturday.

Tony E. Martin, 48, died of injuries sustained after he wasejected from a 1994 Lincoln Town Car driven by Norma S. Martin, 70,also of Tylertown.

The accident occurred at 10:46 a.m. on Mississippi 27 about 14miles south of Monticello.

Both Tony and Norma Martin were taken to Lawrence CountyHospital before being transported to University of MississippiMedical Center in Jackson. Tony Martin died at about 11 p.m. atUMC.

Investigators said the car left the roadway to the right, thencrossed back over both traffic lanes and traveled down anembankment on the left side. The vehicle then overturned.

Both occupants were ejected, and neither was wearing a seatbelt.
