Willine Burns Gatlin

Services for Willine Burns Gatlin, of Bogue Chitto, are 3 p.m.Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with burial inthe church cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-10 p.m. at Riverwood Family FuneralService and Wednesday from 2-3 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Gatlin, 77, died Feb. 21, 2005, at Southwest RegionalMedical Center. She was born in Lincoln County on April 9, 1927, toWilliam C. Murray and Pearl Burns Murray.

She was a loving housewife and mother. She was a member ofPleasant Hill Baptist Church for 60 years.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband of 59 1/2 years, Carl Gatlin, of BogueChitto; her daughter Jacqueline Kay Gatlin, of Brookhaven; hersons, Phil Keith Gatlin and Marcus Ende Gatlin, both of BogueChitto; her brother, William C. Murray Jr., of Prague, Okla.; eightgrandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Cmdr. Charles V. McGlothing

Cmdr. Charles V. McGlothing, 86, formerly of Brookhaven, diedFeb. 18, 2005, in Hazlehurst.

Cmdr. McGlothing was born in Nixon, Texas, on July 18, 1918, toAdolph Vincent McGlothing and Samie Rebecca White McGlothing.

He enlisted in the Navy soon after high school and received awartime commission during World War II. Serving in both World WarII and the Korean War, he rose rapidly through the ranks retiringas full commander at the age of 43. He was a resident of Brookhavenfrom 1961 to 2004.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and a sister, KatherineMcGlothing Landreneau.

Survivors are his daughter, Sam Boggess; his son-in-law, DavidBoggess; and his grandchildren, Jae and Marshall Boggess.

Out of respect for his wishes, there will be no funeral ormemorial service.

Jarod Wayne McKinney

Services for Jarod Wayne McKinney, of Ponchatoula, La., are 11a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral HomeChapel in Hammond, La., with burial in Sandhill Cemetery inPonchatoula.

Visitation is today from 6-10 p.m. and Wednesday from 8-11 a.m.the funeral home.

Mr. McKinney, 17, died Feb. 20, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Jefferson Parish, La., on July 21, 1987, to Barney andJackie Ivey McKinney, of Ponchatoula.

He was a Ponchatoula High School student and a member of thePonchatoula Dixie League Basketball Team.

Survivors are his parents; his brother, Justin Stark McKinney,of Ponchatoula; his grandparents, Edward and Martha Greer McKinney,of Union Church, and Houston and Jo Smith Ivey, of Quitman.

Jimmy R. Wallace

Private memorial services for Jimmy R. Wallace, of Monticello,will be held at a later date. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Wallace, 63, died Feb. 19, 2005, at Wesley Medical Center.He was born in Lawrence County on Dec. 8, 1951, to James DeltonWallace and Martha Holcomb Jones.

He was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of theBaptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his father; and one brother.

Survivors are his mother; his wife, Sherry Wallace, ofMonticello; his stepfather, Alvin Jones; his sons, James DaleWallace, of Monticello, Chris Wallace, of Jayess, Johnny Wallace,of Monticello, and Jimmy “Jimbo” Wallace, of Hattiesburg; and threegrandchildren.
