Services for Staff Sgt. Charles Joseph “C.J.” Linkey II ofWarner Robins, Ga., are 2 p.m., Sunday, June 13, at Robins AirForce Base Chapel. McCullough Funeral Home in Warner Robins, Ga.,is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Linkey, 29, died Thursday, June 10, 2004, at his residence.He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 17, 1974, to Charles J. andJoyce Linkey of Pass Christian.

He served in the U.S. Air Force at Dyess Air Force Base inAbilene, Texas for 10 years. At the time of his death, he wasstationed at Robins Air Force Base and served in the Georgia AirNational Guard. He graduated from Brookhaven High School. Hishobbies included fishing, hunting and motorcycling.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Merle andHelen J. Linkey, and his maternal grandfather, Anthony O.Kaczmarek.

Survivors are his parents; his sisters and brothers-in-law,Kelly and Bobby Covington of Brookhaven, Kerry and Tim Sorrell ofBirmingham, Ala., Kristin Wallace of Madison, Cheryl and TomWalters, and Christine Cutcher, all of Toledo, Ohio; his brothersand sisters-in-law, Kurt P. Abbey of Madison, Keith P. and KorrinAbbey of Atlanta, Ga., Keith and Traci Linkey of Toledo, Ohio; hismaternal grandmother, Martha Kaczmarek of Toledo, Ohio; and manyaunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.

Services for Charles R. McDonald of Bude are 11 a.m., Monday,June 14, at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville with burialin Midway Cemetery in Meadville.

Visitation is Sunday from 6-9 p.m. and Monday from 8:30-11 a.m.,at the funeral home.

Mr. McDonald, 78, died June 10, 2004, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in West Bend, Wisc., on Aug. 17,1925, to Charles Ralph McDonald and Elinor Merten McDonald.

He was a retired forester from the Georgia Pacific Corporation.He was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church. He was a World War IIveteran, serving as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps. Hegraduated from the University of Michigan with a degree inforestry.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Jean Gallagher McDonald of Bude; hisdaughter, Kathleen McDonald Rose of Hazlehurst; his son, CharlesEdward McDonald of Tolleyville, Texas; his sister, Phyllis McDonaldTucker of Carmel, Calif.; and his grandchildren, Morgan KatherineMcDonald, Tyler Charles McDonald and Natalie Jean Rose.

Mildred Smith Nettles

Mrs. Nettles, 80, died June 12, 2004, at Haven Hall NursingHome. She was born in Brookhaven on March 8, 1924, to FranklinSmith and Hattie Chandler Smith.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Gum Grove BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother,Henderson Smith.

Survivors are her husband, Dealus Leo Nettles; her daughters andsons-in-law, Sheila and James King of Ferriday, La., and Shirleyand Joey Porter of Columbia; her sisters, Mamie Case of Brookhaven,Mazielee Lofton of Smithdale, Mary Watts of Zachary, La., andElaine Smith of Bogue Chitto; her brothers, Wiley Smith and FrankL. Frances Bickel O’Rorke

A requiem mass for Frances Bickel O’Rorke of Jackson will beheld at 11 a.m., Monday, June 14, at St. Patrick Catholic Church inMeridian with burial in the church cemetery. Wright and FergusonFuneral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

Miss O’Rorke, 93, died June 11, 2004, at St. Dominic JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born in Meridian on Feb. 14, 1911, toEmmett and Nell Perry O’Rorke.

She attended Catholic schools in Meridian and worked in Memphisand Jackson until her retirement in 1970. She was retired from theU.S. Marshal’s office in Jackson. She and her sister Helen Swannfrequently visited the home of their sister, Mrs. Ed (Marcelle)Brennan. She was a resident of Brookhaven with her nieces MarcelleBrennan and Mary Anne Brennan for eight years before entering St.Catherine’s Village in 1998.

Preceding her in death were her sisters, Marcelle O. Brennan,Helen O. Swann, Jeanne O. Nelson and Nina O. Moss; her brother,Emmett O’Rorke.

Survivors are her sister, Eileen O. Soule of Meridian, herbrother-in-law, Ernest C. Moss Jr.; her nieces, Marcelle Brennan ofBrookhaven, Mary Eileen Soule of Meridian, and Nina Carol Moss ofJackson; her nephews and their wives, John Charles and Jan O’Rorkeof Kingsbury, Calif., Robert Archer and Jean O’Rorke of Conroy,Texas, George Halbert Soule Jr. of Meridian, Ernest Crosby Moss IIIand Nancy Lang of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Stephen Michael Moss ofBirmingham, Ala.; and several great nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Stancil, 87, died June 10, 2004, at her residence. She wasborn in Lincoln County on July 9, 1916, to L.L. Lofton and BeulahLofton Lofton.

She was a retired school teacher from Lincoln County Schools.She was a member of Ramah Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.W.Stancil; and four brothers, Edward, Troy, Sherrill and ArthurLofton.

Survivors are her sisters, Joyce L. Smith of Brookhaven, Dot L.Smith of Bogue Chitto, and Reba Pevey of Crystal Springs; herbrother, Loyd Lofton of Smithdale; and a host of nieces, nephewsand other relatives.

James Thomas Stewart III

Services for James Thomas Stewart III of Bogue Chitto are 10a.m., Monday, June 14, at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel in McCombwith burial in Hollywood Mausoleum. The Rev. Robert Vick Jr. willofficiate the service.

Visitation is Sunday from 4-6 p.m., and Monday from 9-10 a.m. atthe funeral home.

Mr. Stewart, 55, died June 11, 2004, at Ocshner Hospital in NewOrleans. He was born in McComb on Aug. 17, 1948, to J.T. StewartJr. and Polly Winborn Stewart.

He was a graduate of McComb High School. He spent most of hisadult life living in Baton Rouge, La. While there, he worked forOdom Offshore Surveys, where he maintained equipment for offshoresurveying. Until his retirement, he worked for Shell Chemical as aspecial systems technician. he excelled at his job and receivedmany special recognition awards. Mr. Stewart was an avid golfer. Heremained a computer enthusiast until his death. After he retired,Mr. Stewart moved back to Bogue Chitto. He was a member ofCentenary United Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his mother; and his brother-in-law,Charlie Sills.

Survivors are his father, J.T. Stewart Jr. of McComb; his wifeof 31 years, Diane Moak Stewart of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, DodieSills of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Janet Stewart of McComb; hisbrother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Beverly Stewart of Ft. WaltonBeach, Fla.; two nieces and their husbands, Sean and Stacy SillsTrammel of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., and Harrison and Natalie StewartCarr of Fredricksburg, Va.; two nephews, Bud Sills of Naples, Fla.,and Josh Stewart of Ft.
