Funeral services for Barbara Russell, of Brookhaven, will beheld at a later date. Riverwood Family Funeral Service is in chargeof arrangements.

Mrs. Russell, 65, died Oct. 5, 2010, at Hospice Ministries inRidgeland. She was born in Birmingham, Ala., on July 17, 1944, toJohn Harrison Nix and Nellie Turner.

She was a retired riverboat cook. She was of the Baptistfaith.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three brothers; and twosisters.

Survivors are her husband, Ronald M. Russell; her son, Russel N.McGlaughn and wife, Katie, of Brookhaven; her daughters, JudithSmith and husband, Steve, of Brookhaven, Joy Jordan-Deal andhusband, Lewis, of Miami, Fla., and Christina Andrews, of Madison,Wis.; her brother, Leon Nix, of Sulphur Springs, Texas; her sister,Frances Orr, of Glencoe, Ala.; and her grandchildren, Jordan Smith,Dee Smith, Jonna McGlaughn and JJ McGlaughn, all of Brookhaven,Heaven Andrews, of Madison, and Joshuwa Deal, of Miami.
