Services for Russell Cameron Smith, of Madison, are 2 p.m.Thursday, April 29, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel,with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 68, died April 25, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter in Jackson. He was born on April 12, 1942.

He graduated from Albany High School, in Albany, La., and was agraduate of Draughn’s Business College, in Baton Rouge, La. He wasmarried in 1965 in Holden, La. He moved to Brookhaven in 1971 whileemployed with Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He retired from ICGRailroad and established Smith Railway Service as owner until 2007.He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Madison.

Preceding him in death were his father, James Russell Smith; hissister, Brenda Sue Smith; and his grandson, Brooks AshtonSmith.

Survivors are his wife, Linda Ann King Smith; his sons, Mark AshtonSmith and wife Kathy, and Jason Paige Smith and wife Heather, allof Brookhaven; his daughter, Kimberly Smith Mitchell and husbandWayne, of Madison; his mother, Thelma Snyder Smith; his sister,Connie Smith Beavers, of Brookhaven; and his grandchildren, GrantPatrick Abbey, of Madison, Samantha Gail Mitchell, of Bandera,Texas, Anna Katelyn Smith, Cole Paxton Smith, Jacob Elias Smith,Jonah Hayden Smith and Jackson Nate Smith, all of Brookhaven.
