Services for Billie Jean Hall Patterson Searcy of Natchez are 4p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 17, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery inBoytetown.

Mrs. Searcy, 78, died Sept. 15, 2002, at Adams County NursingHome. She was born in Jefferson County on Aug. 23, 1924, to thelate Leon “Doc” Hall and Janie Boyte Hall.

She was an employee of Ed’s Cleaners. She was a member of UnionBaptist Church in Boytetown.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her husband, J.W. Searcy of Brookhaven; herdaughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Gerald Dunaway of Multerie, Ga.;her step-son, Jimmy Searcy of Natchez; her step-daughters, Rena FayLezenby of Hazlehurst, Nezzie Merritt of Natchez and Rosie Searcyof Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Paige Dunnaway Short and BettyDunaway; and one great grandchild, Katherine Short.
