Services for Claude Quinton Lofton of McComb are 11 a.m.Tuesday, Oct. 5, at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb with burial inRamah Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs Gordon Coker and LonnieCase will officiate the services.

Visitation is Monday from 5-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8-11 a.m. atthe funeral home.

Mr. Lofton, 84, died Oct. 2, 2004, at his residence. He was bornin Franklin County on Dec. 21, 1919, to Will and Dolly TillisonLofton.

He was an inspector for Johns-Mansville Company for over 33years. He was a member of Ramah Baptist Church, and attended McCallCreek Baptist Church. Mr. Lofton was also an avid gardener andcattle farmer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two sons, Terry Loftonand Ronnie Lofton; and his first wife of 19 years, NettieBrown.

Survivors are his wife, Edith Lofton of Bude; his daughters,Cheryl Pledger of McComb, Judy and Mickey Lang of Summit, and RoseBates of Summit; his son, Jimmy Lofton of Franklin County; hisgrandchildren, Tee Lofton Smith, Jammy Lofton, Terry Morgan, TracyLeger, Denna Fortenberry, Gene Lang, April Lofton, Joe Lang andCody Bates; and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Terry Morgan, Gene Lang, Joe Lang, CodyBates, Robert Hall and Mickey Lang. Honorary pallbearer will beJammy Lofton.
