Services for Cleo Bryant of Silver Creek are 2 p.m., Saturday,Sept. 16, at Pleasant Grove M. B. Church with burial in the churchcemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 15, from 1-6 p.m. at Johnson FuneralHome in Prentiss and 11:30 a.m. until service time at the church onSaturday.

Mrs. Bryant, 80, died Sept. 11, 2000, of heart failure at King’sDaughters Medical Center. She was a native of Silver Creek.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Grove M.B.Church.

Survivors are her husband, Mitchell Bryant; her sons, M. L.Bryant of Gulfport and Simon Bryant of Brookhaven; her daughter,Charlotte Lewis of Silver Creek; her sister, Aradie Wilson ofGulfport; her brother, Elijah Barnes of Silver Creek; and fivegrandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Frankie Mae Kelly

Services for Frankie Mae Kelly of McCall Creek are 3 p.m.,Saturday, Sept. 16, at Cool Springs M.B. Church with burial in thechurch cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 15, from noon until 7 p.m. with thewake from 7-8 p.m. at Williams Mortuary.

Mrs. Kelly, 79, died Sept. 11, 2000, at Meadville Nursing Home.She was born in Caseyville on Jan. 23, 1921, to Nathaniel Hendersonand Lilla Sutton.

She was disabled.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JeffKelly; her sister, Virgie Mae Banks; and her brothers, ShellieHenderson and Roy Henderson.

Survivors are her son, James “J. L.” Kelly of Fayette; herdaughter, Nethia Pearl Kelly of McCall Creek; her brother, ErnestBrown of Brookhaven; her sisters, Magalene Lyons of Greenville,Bessie L. Carter of Chicago, and Bassie White of St. Louis, Mo.;and six grandchildren.

Lois McKay Porter

Services for Lois McKay Porter of Long Beach are 10:30 a.m.,Saturday, Sept. 16, at Christ United Methodist Church with burialin Long Beach Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, Sept. 15, from 6-9 p.m. at Riemann FuneralHome.

Mrs. Porter, 73, died Sept. 13, 2000, of congestive heartfailure at Gulfport Memorial Hospital. She was a native ofPelahatchie and a longtime resident of Long Beach.

She was a retired secretary. She was a member of First UnitedMethodist Church and the Breathe Easy Fellowship Group.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Charlie W. Goodman.

Survivors are her daughters, Cheryl Case of McCall Creek andKaren Foretich of Long Beach; her sisters, Marie Mashburn ofBrandon and Flossie Crawford of Jackson; and threegrandchildren.
