Doug and Kim Weddle of Franklin, Ind., announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Lindsey Morgan Weddle, to Bobby Everette McGuffie.

He is the son of Wanza McGuffie of Brookhaven.

She is the granddaughter of Thomas Cook and the late Wanda Cook and the late Jerry and Judy Weddle.

He is the grandson of Katie Smith, the late Bobby Smith and Paul and Annelle McGuffie, all of Bogue Chitto.

The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Edenburgh Community High School. She attended Butler University and is pursuing a religion degree from Mississippi College.

The prospective groom is a 2006 graduate of Brookhaven Academy and a 2008 graduate of Copiah-Lincoln Community College. He received his Master of Ministry degree in May 2011. He is enrolled at Southwest Bible College and Seminary, Gainesville, Ga., pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry degree. He is currently serving as minister of students at Flowood Baptist Church, Flowood.

The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Valle Vista Golf Club in Greenwood, Ind. A reception will immediately follow.

A reception honoring the newlyweds will also be held at Flowood Baptist Church, Flowood, on June 24 from 2 until 4 p.m.
