Funeral services for Sherrod “S.D.” Williamson, of Brookhaven,are 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel, with burial in Union Church Cemetery in Union Church.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Williamson, 84, died Nov. 10, 2010, at Golden Living Center -Brook Manor in Brookhaven. He was born in Union Church on Oct. 12,1926, to Dan Williamson and Alma Darsey Williamson.

He was a member of Bethesda Church. He was a veteran of the UnitedStates Army and served during World War II.

Preceding him in death were his father, Dan Williamson; his mother:Alma W. O’Neal; Wilbert Williamson, Mary R.W. Posey and AlbertaDunnaway.

Survivors are his wife, Jewell Pritchard Williamson; his son,Sherrod Daniel Williams Jr.; his daughters, Cheryl Boggan, andMarcie Brown; three brothers and two sisters; and fivegrandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
