Services for Helen Nelson Tynes of Jayess are 11 a.m., Thursday,Dec. 20, at Topeka Baptist Church with burial in Roberts MemorialCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tynes, 81, died Dec. 17, 2001, at her residence. She wasborn in Lawrence County on Jan. 8, 1920, to Robert and SophiaRutland Nelson.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Topeka BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, RobertTynes.

Survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law, Thad and TheresaTynes of Jayess and Joe and Rhonda Tynes of Pontotoc; her brothers,Hoyte Nelson of Slidell, Euel Nelson of Kosciusko, Bobby Nelson ofTylertown, and Malcolm Nelson of Caseyville; her sisters, ThelmaThames of Monticello and Polly Shirley of Philadelphia; hergrandchildren, Scott Tynes, Katrina Barton, Joe Tynes Jr. and AndyGrant, all of Jayess; and three great-granddaughters.
