Services for J.P. Lambert, of West Monroe, La., are 1 p.m.Friday, Jan. 15, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel inBrookhaven with burial in Union Baptist Church Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Lambert, 71, died Jan. 12, 2010, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on Nov. 24, 1938, toTom Lambert and Addie Mae King Lambert.

He was a retired painter. He was of Pentecostal faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Tom Lambert and AddieMae King Lambert; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors are his wife, Shirley Sykes Lambert; his sons, WendellR. Lambert Sykes and Travis Jones Lambert; a daughter, Brenda AnnLambert; his brothers, Ford Lambert, Jewel Lambert and DonaldLambert; and his sisters, Charlene Kent, Odean Shoemaker and ElmerLambert; his seven grandchildren, Felicia Sykes, Darren Lambert,Ashley Sykes, Dylan Lewis, Devin Lewis, Tiffany Sykes and DeAnnLewis; a great-grandchild, Blake Browder.
