Panthers fall in tourney finals

The Crystal Springs Tigers defeated the host Brookhaven Panthers64-50 Saturday to win the Brookhaven Invitational Tournament inSinclair Gymnasium.

In the girls championship game, Natchez clipped South Pike61-54.

Following the Thanksgiving Holidays, Brookhaven will play Dec.4-6 in the Crystal Springs Tournament.

Crystal Springs 64, Brookhaven 50

The 4-5 Panthers, coached by Ronald Hines, were led by MarcusMagee with a double-double, 17 points and 10 rebounds. KeithJohnson and Charles Hall and pulled down 5 rebounds apiece.

Crystal Springs was led by Jordan Hollins with 17 points, 10rebounds and 3 steals. Marzedrick Johnson followed with 14points.

Natchez 61, South Pike 54

Powering the Natchez girls to the win with 29 points was AliaFrank. Keosha Bradley finished with 16 points.

South Pike was led by Tomika Cook with 12 points. Netting 10points was Kierra Addison.
