Services for Edward Lee Ashley of Wesson are 10 a.m., Friday,April 11, 2003 at Harrigill Funeral Home with burial in LittleBahala Cemetery.

Visitation is today, from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Ashley, 74, died April 9, 2003 at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter in Brookhaven. He was born in Warren County on Jan. 10,1929, to J.C. and Ida Ashley.

He was retired from Potter Company. He was a member of LittleBahala Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother, JamesAshley; and his first wife, Lavene Wells Ashley.

Survivors are his wife, Elsie Ashley of Wesson; his sons anddaughters-in-law, Eddie Lee and Sharon Ashley, Lance and CindyAshley of Wesson; his stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Billy andKathy Dungan; his daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and WayneNewell, and Betty and Gary Morgan, all of Wesson; his brothers andsister-in-law, Donald E. Ashley of Winder, Ga., and Billy Buck andJudy Ashley of Brookhaven; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Louiseand Malford Byrd of Wesson, and Dot and Herbert Davis ofBrookhaven; 12 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a hostof nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Sherman Smith, Gary Lynn Smith, Larry Ashley,Toby Ashley, Herbert Davis Jr., Randy Earls, Mitch Berch and ScottAshley.

Beulah Blue

Services for Beulah Blue of Brookhaven are 2 p.m., Saturday,April 12, 2003, at Center Street Church of Christ in Brookhavenwith burial in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is Friday, April 11, from 1-6 p.m. at WilliamsMortuary. Family hour is 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Blue, 76, died April 5, 2003 at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. She was born in Lincoln County on June 11, 1930, to Lutherand Annie Mae Blue.

She was retired. She was a member of Center Street Church ofChrist.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny Lee andJosephine Jones of Brookhaven; her adopted son and daughter-in-law,Oscar and Queen Esther Hawkins of Brookhaven; her sisters, DonnaWashington and Cora Lee Lofton, both of Magee; her brother, WillieLee Blue of Magee; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, andmany nieces, nephews and other relatives.

James Earl Herring

Services for James Earl Herring of Brookhaven are 11 a.m.,Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Center Street Church of Christ inBrookhaven with burial in Carver Heights Cemetery inBrookhaven.

Visitation is Friday, April 11, from 12-5 p.m. at Tyler FuneralHome in Brookhaven.

Mr. Herring, 82, died April 6, 2003 at St. Dominic Hospital inJackson. He was born in Franklin County on April 19, 1920, toWillie Herring and Berniece Henry Herring.

He was a retired sawmill worker at McCall Lumber Company inMcCall Creek. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was amember of Center Street Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sons, James E.Herring and Loyd Rigley; his sisters Maudee Herring and EmmaHerring; and his brother Edgar Herring.

Survivors are his daughters, Linda Glass of Memphis, Tenn.,Lucille Harron, Annie P. Newton and Della Moore all of Brookhaven,Francis Marie Gilbert of Lake Providence, La., and Shirley JeanMoore of Oak Grove, La; and a host of grandchildren,great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Florrell Scarborough

Services for Florrell Scarborough of Winnsboro, La., formerly ofBrookhaven, are 11 a.m., Friday, April 11, 2003, at WilliamsMortuary with burial in Rosehill City Cemetery.

Visitation is today, from 12-6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Scarborough, 69, died April 7, 2003 at Franklin MedicalCenter in Winnsboro. He was born in Lincoln County on Sept. 3,1933, to Sammon and Rosie Lee Scarborough.

He was retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brothers, J.W.Cooper, Edward Scarborough, Readie Scarborough and Willie LeeArmstrong.

Survivors are his son; Victor Crosby of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Mary Richardson of New Orleans, La., Jacklin Kenner,Ruthie Scarborough and Shirley Scarborough, all of Milwaukee, Wis.;his brother, Levell Scarborough of Pascagoula; his sisters, BertileScarborough and Ruthie Mae Scarborough, both of Brookhaven; andmany grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
