Services for George Robert Eldridge Jr. of Monticello are 1 p.m.Saturday, Jan. 8 at Community Funeral Services with burial inHolmesville Cemetery in McComb.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Eldridge, 58, died Jan. 4, 2005, at Meridian HeartfeltHospice. He was born in Meridian on Dec. 7, 1946, to George R.Eldridge and Clairece Jarvis Eldridge.

He was a lineman for MDR Powerline Construction in Columbia. Hewas a member of of the Baptist faith. Mr. Eldridge was also amember of the National Guard.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Lisa Eldridge of McComb; his daughter,Rebekah E. Eldridge of Meridian; Gunnery Sgt. David G. Eldridge, ofParis Island, S.C., Kyle Aaron Eldridge of Monticello, Matthew S.Eldridge, of Bay Springs, and stepson, Cory G. Beadles ofMonticello; his two grandchildren, Cole G. Eldridge and Hana E.Eldridge.
