Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 6, at Brookhaven Funeral Home in Brookhaven for Irene Westbrook Green, age 79, who peacefully went to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 5 a.m., surrounded by her loved ones in Leonville. Brookhaven Funeral Home, Brookhaven, is in charge of arrangements.

Interment will be in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in McCall Creek. The Rev. Greg Warnock, pastor of First Baptist Church, will officiate at the services.

Ms. Green was a native of McCall Creek and a resident of Brookhaven for most of her life and had lovingly been taken care of in Leonville for the past nine years.

Survivors include one grandson whom she raised, Jamie Darbonne and wife, Nicole, and their 3 children, Amber, Konner, and Sage Darbonne, all of Leonville, one granddaughter, Paula Lavergne and her husband, Leroy, and their two children, Tre and Kiana, al of Opelousas, La., a special friend and mother of her two grandchildren, Judi Darbonne and husband, Paul, of Opelousas, La., one brother, Elton Westbrook and his wife, Claris, of McCall Creek, and one sister, Reba Hunsucker, of Aragon, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Green; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. H. “Big Man” Westbrook, mother, the former Delma Smith; and one sister, Grace Porter.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Brookhaven Funeral Home located at 894 Natchez Drive NE, Brookhaven, MS. on Wednesday, March 6, from 9 until 11 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Konnor Darbonne, Sage Darbonne, David Westbrook, Robby Hunsucker, Glen Westbrook and Elton Westbrook.
