Barney Foster

Services for Barney Foster, of Brookhaven, will be held at 2p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23, at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel with burial in Easthaven Cemetery.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Foster, 85, died Jan. 21, 2008, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. He was born on Nov. 12, 1922, to Eugene “Jennie” Foster andVianiar Laird Foster.

He was retired from the oil industry. He became a Christian as ateenager by obeying the gospel and being baptized at Johnson GroveChurch of Christ. He was also a Mason and member of the EasternStar.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his first wife, LoisWolfe; his brother, Horace Foster; and his sisters, Ruthie FosterSmith and Lucy Foster Hammons

Survivors are his wife, Bettie D. Hoggatt Foster, of Brookhaven;his stepdaughter, Barbara Hoggatt Tisdale and husband Glenn, ofDothan, Ala.; his brother, Homer Foster, of Cullman, Ala.; hissister, Audrey N. Foster Watts, of Brookhaven; and a number ofnieces and nephews.

Ola Mae Regan Wichman

Graveside services for Ola Mae Regan Wichman, of Lumberton andformerly of Brookhaven, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan.23, at Easthaven Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Wichman, 93, died Jan. 20, 2008, at Oxford Health andRehabilitation in Lumberton. She was born in Pike County on Sept.8, 1914, to Murray Regan and Rosa Fortinberry Regan.

She was a retired clerk for Case’s Drug Store in Brookhaven. Shewas a member of First Baptist Church of Brookhaven. She was a pastrecipient of the Golden Deeds Award.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, J.N.”Goose” Wichman; her son, Neville Regan “Buddy” Wichman; herbrother, Paul Regan; and her sister, Maudine Haney.

Survivors are her sister, Laura Herring, of Slidell, La.; herdaughter-in-law, Donna Wichman, of Jonesboro, Ark.; her grandsons,Regan Wichman, of Madison, John Wichman, of Hattiesburg, and WadeWichman, of Jonesboro; and her great-grandsons, Cole and GrantWichman, of Hattiesburg.
