Services for Mary Compton Pounds, of Brookhaven, are noonWednesday, July 20 at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the church’s parishhall.

Mrs. Pounds, 52, died July 17, 2005, at the University ofMississippi Medical Center in Jackson. She was born in Washingtonstate on Jan. 25, 1953, to Newman H. Compton and Agnes KellyCompton.

She was retired.

Preceding her in death were her mother and her father-in-law,Horace Pounds.

Survivors are her husband, John Pounds, of Brookhaven; herfather, Newman H. Compton, of Pensacola, Fla.; her mother-in-law,Rosa Pounds, of Brookhaven; her son, Mitch Pounds; her daughter,Lisa Boyte, of Brookhaven; her brother, Les Compton, of Ontario,Canada; her sisters, Sara Kooley of Gig Harbor, Wash., Jane Fuller,of Jacksonville, Fla., and Linda Krueger, of Pensacola, Fla.; hergrandchildren, Maddalynn Boyte, Sara Jane Boyte, Mary Anna Boyteand Loren Elizabeth Pounds.

Memorials may be made to the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer’sBell Tower Fund.

William Hayden Webber

Services for William Hayden Webber, of Brookhaven, are 10 a.m.Wednesday, July 20 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Sutton Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Webber, 82, died July 18, 2005, at his residence. He wasborn in Jackson, Tenn., on Sept. 25, 1922, to William Hayden Webberand Angie Virginia Jernigan.

He was retired from Hunt Wesson after 40 years of employment,where he was recognized for his outstanding sales achievement. Hewas a member of First Methodist Church. He was a Mason.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his sister, AngieV. Hughes.

Survivors are his wife of 60 1/2 years, Winnie Belle Webber, ofBrookhaven; his son and daughter-in-law, William Hayden “Bo” WebberIII and Brenda Webber; his grandson, Jonathan Blake Webber and hiswife, Ali Collins Webber, of Jackson; his granddaughter, MistyCarole Miears and her husband, Chad Miears, of Nashville, Tenn.;the grandchildren’s mother, Patricia G. Webber, of Brookhaven; anda special family friend, Glenda Thornhill, of Brookhaven.
