Services for Ione S. Hall, of Vicksburg, were 2 p.m. Tuesday,Sept. 6 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Vicksburg with burial inCedar Hill Cemetery. Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home was in charge ofarrangements.

Mrs. Hall, 91, died Sept. 4, 2005, at her home in Vicksburg. Shewas born in Gulfport on Oct. 17, 1913, to James E. and Teresa HechtSwetman.

She grew up in Biloxi and was a graduate of Biloxi High School.She attended Louisiana State University Nursing School at theCharity Hospital in New Orleans, where she finished with a degreeas a nurse anesthetist.

She married Dr. Donald Street Hall Sr. while at Charity Hospitalin New Orleans. She practiced nurse anesthesiology in New York Cityat Johns Hopkins Medical Center during Dr. Hall’s medical training.They returned to Vicksburg for a short while until World War II.After the war they returned to Vicksburg. She was a charter memberof the Vicksburg Junior Auxiliary. She was active in her gardenclub and many local charities.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, Dr.Donald Street Hall Sr.

Survivors are her sons, Dr. Donald S. Hall Jr., of Vicksburg,and Dr. James Hall, of Brookhaven; her grandchildren, Katherine AnnHall, Valerie Hall, Madeleine Hall and Sam Hall; and numerousnieces, nephews and other relatives.
