HATTIESBURG – The Lincoln County Americans saw their Dixie YouthBaseball AA 8s Coach/Pitch State Tournament championship dreamsdoused Saturday. After an extra-inning, 18-17 loss to Pascagoula inFriday’s opening round, the Americans were eliminated 15-5 Saturdaynight by Perry County at the Larry Doleac Dixie Youth Complex atTatum Park.

Pascagoula 18, Americans 17

In an offensive show, the Americans were directed by Cole Smith,Gatson Walker and Grant Jackson who doubled twice and singled. CadeBrown and Corban Falvey both singled and doubled. Britton Nelsondoubled twice and Carson Rounsaville singled twice.

Karlton Byrd and Trey Smith both doubled. Colby Sasser, ReeseDehart and Thorne Hutson singled.

Perry Co. 15, Americans 5

In the loss to Perry County, the Americans finished with six hits.Brown doubled twice. Nelson had one double. Walker,Hutson and ColeSmith singled.
