Services for Clarence E. Stewart Jr., of Brookhaven, were 2 p.m.Sunday, Nov. 6 at Brookhaven Seventh-day Adventist Church withburial in Rosehill Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Mr. Stewart, 104, died Nov. 3, 2005, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Natchez on Sept. 23, 1901, to Clarence E.Stewart Sr. and Frankie Bennett Stewart.

He was the retired owner and operator of Stewart Wood WorkingShop and Stewart Glass and Generator Shop, both in Brookhaven. Hewas a member of the Brookhaven Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Inez CoraGreen Stewart; a daughter, Marian Clarice Leggett; four brothers,Vernon, Percy, Frank and Wilbur Stewart; and three sisters, ThelmaStacks, Annie Williams and Maggie Stewart.

Survivors are his daughter, Edna Earl Manley, of Meridian; twograndchildren, Dr. Hugh V. Leggett Jr. and his wife, Rosemary, ofBrookhaven, and Joseph Patton “Pat” Swain, of Meridian; fivegreat-grandchildren, Hugh Vernon Leggett III, of Brookhaven, BrentLee Leggett, of Loma Linda, Calif., Michelle Leigh Leggett, ofChattanooga, Tenn., Brittney Kaye Swain, of Hattiesburg, and ReganLeigh Swain, of Meridian.
