Services for Ruby Davis Feduccia of Richton were 11 a.m.,Saturday, July 2, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial inBethshan Cemetery in Monticello.

Mrs. Feduccia, 86, died June 30, 2005, at Perry County NursingHome. She was born in Richton on June 27, 1919, to John BedfordDavis and Lula Albritton Davis.

She was a retired seamstress with Stal Urban of Brookhaven. Shewas the former owner of the Spin-A-Cone and 27 Grocery inMonticello. She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. LawrenceChurch in Monticello.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, TonyFeduccia; a son, Tony Feduccia Jr.; a brother, Eugene Davis; andher sisters, Ruth Wallace and Hattie Evans.

Survivors are her sons, Joe Feduccia of Monticello, and CliffFeduccia of Richton; her brother, Johnny Frank Davis of Abbeville,La.; 15 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Doris E. Harwell

Services for Doris E. Harwell of Brookhaven were 11 a.m.,Saturday, July 2, at Glenwood Funeral Home Chapel in Port Gibsonwith burial in Cane Ridge Cemetery in Lorman.

Mrs. Harwell, 84, died June 30, 2005, at Mississippi BaptistMedical Center. She was born to Samuel and Clara Emanuel.

She was a veteran of the Navy, with service in World War II. Shewas a teller for Mississippi Southern Bank and Claiborne County forseveral years. She moved from Lorman to Tupelo and Brookhaven to benear family. She was a member of Cane Ridge Methodist Church inLorman.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, DaleHarwell; and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors are her special nephew and his wife, Lynn and PatDavis of Brookhaven; and other surviving nieces and nephews,Carolyn Sue Smith, Jann Beatty, Wylene Parker, Percy Emanuel,Frances Manoley, Sam Emanuel, Bob Emanuel and Carol Emanuel.

Dale Hood

Services for Dale Hood of Utica were 10 a.m., Saturday, June 2,at Pinebluff Baptist Church in Dentville with burial in the churchcemetery. Community Funeral Service is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Hood, 55, died June 30, at Mississippi Baptist Hospital inJackson. He was born on Dec. 9, 1949, to R.S. Hood Sr. and CarrieDell McRee Hood.

He was owner of Hood’s Grocery. He had completed a year ofcollege. He was a member of Utica Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and two brothers.

Survivors are his wife, Audrey Hood, of Hoodtown; his sons,Thomas Dale Hood Jr., of Hoodtown and Brian Bock, of Ferriday, La.;his daughters, Karen Matthews, of Dentville, and Robin Dale Davis,of Hoodtown; his brothers, Carroll Hood, of Hazlehurst, and LarryHood, of Hoodtown; his sister, Peggy Ann Catchings of Jackson; andfive grandchildren.

Cheryl Dianne Caldwell Pennington

Services for Cheryl Dianne Caldwell Pennington, of Sontag, are 2p.m., Sunday, July 3, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel in Monticellowith burial in Wanilla Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Mrs. Pennington, 56, died June 30, 2005, at University MedicalCenter in Jackson. She was born on March 13, 1949, to Roy Caldwelland Mary Louise Caldwell.

She was a retired florist and a fulltime wife of 36 years, andwas a mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and sister. She was amember of Monticello Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors are her husband, Eddie Pennington, of Sontag; her son,Dusty Pennington, of Hattiesburg; her daughter, Dina McNeil, ofHattiesburg; her brother, Steve Caldwell, of Monticello, Ark.; hersisters, Becky Reid and Tina Givens, both of Monticello; and hergrandchild, D.J. McNeil of Hattiesburg.

Jennifer McCardle Rainer

Services for Jennifer McCardle Rainer, of Bogue Chitto, are 12noon, Wednesday, July 6, at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer withburial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Riverwood Family FuneralService, and Wednesday from 10 until noon, at Canon Hall at thechurch.

Mrs. Rainer, 51, died July 1, 2005, at King’s Daughter’s MedicalCenter. She was born to William Aubrey McCardle and CarolVardaman.

Mrs. Rainer was born on Sept. 18, 1953, in Hazlehurst, where shegrew up active in sports and cheerleading. She was electedhomecoming queen and voted most beautiful her senior year atHazlehurst High School in 1971. After graduation, she married MikeRainer and worked while he attended nursing school. He eventuallygraduated from University of Mississippi Medical Center’sanesthesia program. After Mike graduated and began his medicalcareer, Mrs. Rainer enrolled in Mississippi University for Women tostudy fashion merchandising. After receiving her master’s degree,she started Jennifer Rainer Designs.

She possessed a boundless spirit and had a passion for meetingpeople, which gave her a natural outlet for selling her designs.Her laced embellished design business took her to many places, evento Hong Kong with her 3-year-old son Chase, her husband Mike, andunborn daughter Chelsea to purchase silk and lace for her business.With Mrs. Rainer, family always came first, even though she couldbe found marketing her clothes, accessories and jewelry in NewYork, Miami, Atlanta and Dallas.

She was a devoted and proud wife and mother. Although she hadmany talents, she was especially gifted at making everyone aroundher feel comfortable and welcome. Many were able to experience thisparticular talent by visiting her restaurant and clothing shop, thePurple Rose, in downtown Brookhaven. This enterprise was truly alabor of love that she created for her family and the community.She was a member of Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

Preceding her in death were her father; and hergrandparents.

Survivors are her husband, James Michael Rainer; her son,Christopher Chase Raine; her daughter, Chelsea Anna Rainer, all ofBrookhaven; her sister, Belinda McCardle, of Hazlehurst; and hermother, Carol McCardle.

Dr. Junius H. Terrell

Services for Dr. Junius H. Terrell, of Chapel Hill, N.C., were2:15 p.m. Friday, July 1 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial inRosehill Cemetery.

Dr. Terrell, 78, died June 27, 2005. He was born in McCall Creekon June 21, 1927, to Mr. and Mrs. William E. Terrell.

After graduating from West Lincoln High School in McCall Creek,he received an associate’s degree in business from WhitworthCollege and a bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. Heearned his MBA and PhD from the University of Texas at Austin andwas a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and Texas.

Prior to beginning his career in the field of accountingeducation, Dr. Terrell was an audit manager for Arthur Anderson andCo. in Houston, Texas. He taught at Bucknell University, VirginiaTech and the University of Texas at Austin prior to joining thefaculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where hetaught for 24 years. During that time, he served as president ofthe NC State Board of CPA Examiners and was the recipient ofnumerous teaching awards, including the Nicholas SalgoDistinguished Teaching Award, the UNC Business School UndergraduateProgram Teaching Award, and the University Award for Excellence inInspirational Teaching.

In 1990, Dr. Terrell left UNC Chapel Hill to become the Dean ofthe Ketner School of Business at Catawba College in Salisbury,N.C., a position he held until his retirement from full-timeteaching. Catawba president Stephen Wurster in announcing Terrell’sappointment said, “Dr. Terrell is widely known and respected inboth the academic and business communities. His many contacts andprofessional stature will be a major asset for the faculty,students and programs at the Ketner School. He also has thepersonal qualities necessary to fulfill high expectations thiscommunity has for the Ketner School.”

During his tenure at Catawba, the North Carolina CPA Foundationpresented Dr. Terrell their esteemed “Outstanding Educator Award.”The nomination for this award had included these words, “Hisability to motivate is obvious, as his former students can be foundin leadership positions throughout the country – in both the publicand private sector.”

Active in his profession, Terrell served in leadership roles innumerous organizations and was published widely. He was therecipient of the Ernst and Whinney Faculty Fellowship Award, theCoopers and Lybrand Excellence in Audit Education Program FacultyAward and a research grant from the Price Waterhouse Foundation. Heserved as a Deacon and Moderator of University Baptist Church inChapel Hill.

Dr. Terrell is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bonnie BlackTerrell; his daughter, Rebecca Ann Perry and her husband, TonyPerry, of Atlanta; his sisters, Eva T. Pullen, of Brookhaven, FayeT. Moore, of Bay St. Louis, and Regina McGraw Hinote, of Mobile,Ala.; his brothers, Clyde Terrell, of McCall Creek and LintonTerrell, of Edwards; and a host of nieces and nephews.
