Services for Inez Stamps Watts, of Wiggins, were Monday, April23, at Moore Funeral Home in Wiggins with burial in WoodlawnCemetery in Wiggins.

Mrs. Watts died April 20, 2007, in Lucedale. She was born inPoplarville and was a resident of Wiggins for over 70 years.

She was a buyer for Yeager’s Department Store for many years,and was later employed with the Mississippi Department of HumanServices. She was especially interested in the progress of the cityof Wiggins, where her husband was the fire chief for almost 50years, and she served on the zoning board in past years. Afterretirement, gardening was one of her favorite activities. She was afirm believer in the value of education and was a lifelong learner.Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with hergrandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member and avidsupporter of First Baptist Church in Wiggins, where she was amember of the VIPS.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L.Stamps; her beloved husband of 66 years, Robert Johnson “Bobby”Watts Jr.; her sister, Gertrude Stamps; and her brothers, C.L., Coyand Hugh Stamps.

Survivors are her son, Robert J. Watts III and wife Rita, ofBrookhaven; her daughters, Gayle Gill and husband Fred, ofLucedale, and Lynn Allegrezza and husband Cecil, of Raymond; hergrandchildren, Stan and wife Suzanne Gill, Lisa and husband AdrianSorey, Julie and husband Kent Massey, Whitney and husband FreddieVan Cleave, Trent and wife Jennifer Watts, Adam and wife DanielleWatts; her great-grandchildren, Seth, Caleb and Luke Gill, Andrewand Erin Sorey, Melinda and Spenser Massey, and Jack and EllieWatts.

Pallbearers were Fred Van Cleave, Stan Gill, Kent Massey, AdrianSorey, Andrew Sorey and Adam Watts.
