Graveside services for Mildred B. Hall, of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Riverwood Memorial Park. RiverwoodFamily Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hall, 78, died April 13, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn on May 6, 1927, to Frederick Monroe Blount and Dorothy VestalRiley.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and her husband, ThomasD. Hall.

Survivors are her son, Don R. Hall, of Anderson, S.C.; herdaughters, Lynn H. Taylor and Wanda H. Ballard, both of Brookhaven;her brothers, Ronald Blount, of Houston, Texas, and Larry Blount,of Dallas, Texas; her sister, Evelyn McCartney, of Jena, La.; andher grandchildren, Allen Taylor, Mark Taylor, Beth Ballard, EmilyBallard, Jay Ballard, Owen Hall and Clint Hall.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries or First UnitedMethodist Church.

James Walley Lowery

Services for James Walley Lowery, of Hazlehurst, were Friday,April 14, 2006, at Sylvarena Baptist Church in Wesson with burialin the church cemetery. Community Funeral Services was in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Lowery, 76, died April 10, 2006, at Pine Crest Nursing Homein Hazlehurst. He was born on Oct. 20, 1929, to James HughlonLowery and Bessie Laura Delaughter Lowery.

He was retired from KLLM Trucking. He was a member of WestsideBaptist Church. He served in the Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Estelle Brown Lowery, of Hazlehurst; hissons, Danny Perritt and Bobby Perritt, both of Hazlehurst; hisdaughters and sons-in-law, Chris Lowery, Pamela and Ronny Dauzat,and Lisa and Ernie Nillen, all of New Orleans, Jimmy Resor, ofSlidell, La., and Pat Newman, of Hazlehurst; his brother, GaryLowery, of Laurel; his nephews, Dale Lowery, Danny Lowery and TonyLowery; his niece, Kim Dixon; his 17 grandchildren; and his fivegreat-grandchildren.

Carroll Gene McKee

Services for Carroll Gene McKee, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Friday, April 14, at Wellman Baptist Church in Lincoln County withburial in the church cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. McKee, 46, died April 10, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn in Brookhaven on Sept. 21, 1959, to Bill McKee and MarjorieReid McKee.

He was a vendor with Tom’s Distribution. He was a member ofWellman Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his father and his brother, RickyMcKee.

Survivors are his mother; his son, Robert “Ed” McKee, ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Casey McKee, of Brookhaven; his brother,Ronnie McKee, of Brookhaven; and his sisters, Libby Little andMarilyn Killingsworth, both of Brookhaven.

Roosevelt Thomas Sr.

Services for Roosevelt Thomas Sr., of Roxie, are 1 p.m.Saturday, April 15, at Saint Matthew Baptist Church in the GardenCity community with burial in New Hope Church Cemetery in Natchez.Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is today from 12 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home chapelin Bude, and on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until the timeof the service.

Mr. Thomas, 72, died April 8, 2006, at Natchez Regional MedicalCenter. He was born in Franklin County on March 20, 1934, to OllieMae Pernell and Willie Thomas.

Preceding him in death were his loving wife, Josiephine Thomas;and his parents.

Survivors are his daughters, Sharon Upton and Rachel Jenkins;his sons, Roosevelt Thomas Jr., Willie J. Thomas, Quincey Thomas,Carey Thomas, Clifton Thomas and Tyrone Thomas; his sisters, RuthieWatkins, Jewel O’Quinn, Deloris Mackey and Ollie Mae Ellis; hisbrothers, Mack Washington, Revon Pernell, Robert Pernell, JerryPernell and Clyde Thomas; 32 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren;and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
