Services for Pauline McCullom of Brookhaven are incomplete. Mrs.McCullom, 91, died Nov. 20, 2000, in Kansas City, Mo. WilliamsMortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Jack Wactor

Services for Jack Wactor of Bogue Chitto are 11 a.m., Wednesday,Nov. 22, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel with burial in BogueChitto Cemetery. Visitation is tonight from 4-9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Wactor, 74, died Nov. 20, 2000, at his residence.

John Ellis Cupit Sr.

Services for John Ellis Cupit Sr. of Liberty were 10 a.m.,Tuesday, Nov. 21, at Liberty Pentecostal Church with burial inLiberty Cemetery. The Rev. Gary Jones conducted the services andwas assisted by the Rev. John Ready. Brown Funeral Home in Libertywas in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Cupit, 90, died Nov. 19, 2000, at Field Memorial Hospital inCentreville. He was born in Amite County on Nov. 4, 1910, to JohnEllis Cupit and Katie Dunn Cupit.

He was a retired truck driver, minister, and deputy sheriff. Hewas a member of Liberty Pentecostal Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, Ruby Cupit;and his brothers, Percy Jackson, Ray Cupit, Joe Cupit, and DavidCupit.

Survivors are his wife, Mary Cupit of Liberty; his sons anddaughters-in-law, James and Shirley Cupit of Clinton, La., JohnEllis and Genie Cupit of Zachary, La., Allen and Viola Cupit ofBogue Chitto, Wayne and Dolly Cupit of Baton Rouge, Jerry Cupit ofBogue Chitto, Murray and Freda Cupit of Liberty, and Michael andTamara Cupit of Brookhaven; his stepchildren, Charley and RuthPowell of Mize, Thomas and Pat Portaritis of Oxford, Donna Harrellof Greenwood, Lawrence and Reva Morgan of Liberty, and Luke andRenita Morgan of Zachary; his sister, Fannie Westbrook ofSmithdale; his brother, Jack Cupit of Liberty; his nephew who wasraised as a brother, Joseph B. Cupit of Brookhaven; and 17grandchildren, 15 stepgrandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, fourstepgreat-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were his seven sons.
